August at Room2Room: A Look Back at Move-In Month
August is always one of the busiest months of the year for Room2Room Movers, and this year was no exception. From Auburn and Ole Miss move-in weeks to chapter room moves, August was filled with packed trucks, busy campuses, and plenty of students getting settled into their new homes.
Move-In Season in Auburn & Oxford
Move-in week is one of the most exciting times of the year for college students and their families. This August, our teams were hard at work helping students get moved in and ready for the semester at both Auburn University and the University of Mississippi.
With students arriving from all over the country, our goal was simple: make moving day as easy and stress-free as possible. Whether that meant transporting belongings, delivering stored items, or helping get a student's new space ready, our movers were there to help keep move-in moving.
For parents and students, move-in day can come with a lot of logistics. For our team, it's what we've been preparing for all year!
Chapter Room Moves
Move-in wasn't just about individual students. August also brought plenty of chapter room moves, helping sororities and other organizations get their spaces ready for the new school year.
Chapter rooms can involve a lot of furniture, decorations, boxes, and other items that need to be moved quickly and carefully. Our team was proud to help organizations get their spaces set up and ready for another year on campus.
A Little Help From Hudson Kaak
August also gave us the opportunity to work with Hudson Kaak, Auburn punter, during one of the busiest times of the year.
Having familiar faces around campus during move-in season is always a fun part of what we do, and Hudson was a great addition to the August content and excitement surrounding Room2Room.
Bringing Toomer's Lemonade to Move-In
One of the highlights of the month was teaming up with Toomer's Lemonade to bring a little Auburn tradition to move-in season.
We handed out Toomer's Lemonade to students during move-in, giving families a chance to take a quick break from the chaos and enjoy a taste of one of Auburn's most iconic traditions.
Move-in season can be hectic, but moments like this are what make being part of the Auburn community so special!
Wrapping Up a Busy August
As August comes to a close, we're officially wrapping up another huge move-in season. We're grateful to every student, parent, organization, and partner who trusted Room2Room to be part of their move.
From Auburn to Oxford, individual dorm rooms to chapter rooms, our team was ready to move students forward into their next chapter.
And while the trucks may be slowing down after a busy summer, we're already looking ahead to what's next.
